Hampton Beach Olde Tyme Fair June 6th-9th, 2013 (Hampton Beach, NH)

Olde-Tyme-Fair-Logo-resized2Hampton Beach State Park Olde Tyme Fair is right around the corner. Be sure to come visit and enjoy some food, games, carnival rides and arts and crafts. There will be plenty of entertainment from concerts and local acts to a petting zoo. The Fair will be from June 6th-9th with an admission fee of only $5. Fair times vary throughout the weekend.

Thursday: 4pm-10pm

Friday: 4pm-10:30pm

Saturday: 10am- 10:30pm

Sunday: 10am- 9pm

2013 Ogunquit, ME Memorial Day Services

Parade will form at Bourne Lane and begin march at 11:00 AM. The Wells Bands, Servicemen and Servicewomen of all Wars and all present at earlier commemoration are invited to march. Parade will proceed north on Shore Road to Ogunquit Square and to Ogunquit River Bridge.

Annual Patriots Day Ogunquit MEApr 12 thru Apr 14, 2013. 23rd Annual Patriots Day Celebration. Join us as we go back to our roots, with historical characters walking the streets, musterings, and fife & drum concerts. Re-enactments, cookout, taste-tests, and craft fair round out the weekend. While there, stop by the Animal Welfare Society crafters table on the 13th and 14th and pick up some handcrafted pet supplies. Maine Maple Weekend 2013

A great activity for family fun in the winter months in NE – Please join us on Maine Maple Weekend this March 23 and 24, 2013, for two days of fun filled events. On Saturday we will be open from 9AM- 3PM and on Maple Sunday from 8AM- 4PM. We offer exciting activities such as scavenger hunts, calf naming contests, pig weight contests, sap lugging contests, and door prizes. Our Maple Store is fully stocked for the event with many special prices. We will also have free samples of Maple Syrup on pancakes and ice cream, fudge sampling, and maple whoopie pie tasting events. Our maple store is also open throughout the year. We welcome you to visit at your convenience. We accommodate: bus tours, restrooms available, handicapped accessible, retail sales offered, wholesale sales offered.

10am-noon: SANTA’S VILLAGE  – Ogunquit Village School. Visit Santa’s Village to see the elves at work! Take advantage of photo ops and enjoy refreshments. $3 per person or $10 for a family of four!

10am-3pm: BASEMENT BAZAAR downstairs at the Dunaway Center. Can’t figure out what to get for that hard-to-buy-for person? Find a little bit of everything and something for everyone at this bazaar.

10am-3pm: ANNUAL ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW at the Fire Station. Proceeds benefit Ogunquit Fire Rescue.

10:30am-1pm: THE “GIVING TREE” SILENT AUCTION – down stairs at the Dunaway Center. Theme-decorated artificial trees have been donated by local businesses and individuals, to be silent auctioned. Be sure to bid on the popular lottery tree! Proceeds go to Hospice of York.

11am-3pm: MIXED CARGO at Gypsy Sweethearts. Original artwork, fine crafts, and high quality jewelry made by Michele Stiviletta, Coleen Forde and local craft-persons. Floating candle holders, Cooley berry raspberry jam, and Gypsy Sweethearts Sweatshirts.

11am-1:30pm: TASTE THE SEASON (Chowderfest) upstairs at the Dunaway Center. Taste a variety of foods(including chowder) from local dining establishments. 11am-4pm:MEET THE ARTIST at Abacus (213 Main Street). Come meet Dana Heacock, the artist behind the Abacus calendar. Stop in to say hello, get your calendar signed and view more of Dana’s artwork.

12noon-1pm: HOLIDAY STORYTELLING downstairsat Ogunquit Baptist Church. Local storyteller Diana Abbott will read seasonal stories to the little ones!

1pm: POLAR PLUNGE Main Beach. Come see our Ogunquit Ocean Rescue Service “bear” the elements and perform their Polar Plunge into the ice cold Atlantic on Ogunquit Beach! The Ogunquit Ocean Rescue Service is raising money/toys for Toys For Tots.Please come down to help support their cause and root them on!

1-5pm:OPEN HOUSE at Ogunquit Heritage Museum. 18th century decorations, special Santa and angel exhibit, menorah exhibit and holiday refreshments.

2-3pm: KIDS’ ORNAMENT MAKING AND COOKIE DECORATING downstairs at Ogunquit Baptist Church. We’ll bring the supplies; kids bring the creativity!

2-5pm:WINE TASTING – Village Food Market.

3-4pm:CHRISTMAS PARADE – Main Beach to Perkins Cove. Presented by the Village Spirit Committee. Weather permitting.

3-6pm:WINE TASTING – Perkins & Perkins Fine Wine, Food & Gifts, 478 Main Street. Wines for the holiday table and gift giving. Special discounts during the tasting.

4-5pm: WANDERING MINSTREL in Perkins Cove. Wandering in and out of the shops in Perkins Cove, this traditional minstrel will delight you with familiar and traditional Christmas songs.

4pm or following the Christmas Parade: TREE LIGHTING &CAROLING at Perkins Cove. We’ll be rockin’ around the Christmas tree with caroling, cider and cookies in the Cove! Weather permitting.

6:30pm:LIVING MANGER – at Ogunquit Baptist Church. Beautifully performed by members of Ogunquit Baptist Church, this living nativity reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas. Weather permitting.

7-8pm: CONCERT “Melodies &Memories” Barbershop Quartet at Ogunquit Baptist Church. This quartet will delight you with seasonal favorites, lead a sing-a-long, and teach a little about harmony.

8:15pm: TOWN TREE LIGHTING at Veteran’s Park. Join us in caroling and enjoy some warm drinks and cookies. Weather permitting.

8:30pm:BON FIRE at Main Beach. Rain date: Saturday, December 10.
